I love, love, love Addi’s lace needles. the point is just as sharp as I need it to be for lace work. thank you.

  2. 2 Karma

My favorite Skacel product is the Addi Turbo needles. They’re all I use! I love how slippery and lightweight they are. I love the smooth join. I sometimes wish the tips were sharper, but I haven’t had a chance to use the lace tips yet to see how they compare.

  3. 3 Alex

Aww. . . no crochet hooks. I have been dying to try out the Addi hooks. But if I won this would give me a good reason to learn how to knit.

I took a look at the Skacel site and I think the Addi steel hooks with cap/handle look much more comfortable than the steel hooks I am used to using. I would be interested in trying them out – and if they sold these in a value-priced set I would go for it.

    aristonle @ ravelry

  4. 4 Sue Benson

I love the Addi interchangeables. I wish they would make a pointier set in the regular steel material. Some people are allergic to the lace needles.

  5. 5 leslie

I really like the trekking yarn and the Divine yarn. Also thrilled with the things that can be made using the Artfelt Paper. But it would be wonderful if there was a tool that could make the roving “stick” to the Artfelt Paper a bit easier than the needle felting tool.

  6. 6 Jung Kang

I wish the Addi Turbos were pointier. That would definitely win points in many people’s books because the Addi points are known for being a bit blunt. I know the lace ones are available but I prefer the slickness of the regular ones.

  7. 7 michele

Trekking is the best sock yarn available, soft, durable, and washes like a dream!

  8. 8 Cathcart

Wow, what an amazing give away! I love the Skacel products, especially the Addi lace needles. I am looking forward to being able to get the lace tips for my Addi Clicks. I would love to see them offer double pointed needles with sharper tips as well.

  9. 9 Jackie Jones

I love both Addi Lace and Addi Turbo needles, and I REALLY need them! Seems like all of my needles are “full” right now…

  10. 10 Terri

What needs improvement — the ability to find Sockina Cotton!!! Wherever I go, it’s sold out! Love this yarn.

  11. 11 Natalie Servant

My favorites by far are my Addi Lace needles. They’re fantastic & make nupps almost easy. Almost. And my set of Addi Clicks is now my go-to needle case when I need something less pointy.

  12. 12 Gwynne

I have just used my first Addis for a pair of sock and had no issues with them.
Love the Zauberball yarns although I would like to see these yarns in other weights: Sport or DK would be great!

    Thanks Fulay!

  13. 13 JodyH

I’ve never tried any of these products, but I’ve heard lots of good things! I’d love to try the Addi needles to see if they are as great as everyone says.

  14. 14 Daryl

I love the smooth join of the Addi needles, and the weight. They have the perfect balance which makes my hands feel like they are using a quality product not a cheap good-enough version. Can’t think of any improvements, other than the expense which sometimes limits my aquisitions.

  15. 15 kelly-ann (on ravelry)

I just cast on a scarf yesterday with some Crazy Zauberball and Addi Turbo needles. I bought these needles when I first started knitting a few years ago, but didn’t use them much (size 3). I forgot I had them, but found them when cleaning out the stash. I love them and the Zauberball is amazing!

  16. 16 Naturalstateknit

    I love their yarn.

  17. 17 Diane Tetreault

Top quality– smart tools that last for a lifetime– maybe longer :)

  18. 18 Karen in Toledo

I love the sharpness of the Addi Lace needles, but do NOT like the way the needles *smell*! The brass (??) coating stinks like old pennies! Can something be changed to improve or fix this?

Austermann Step is fabulous and Zauberball yarns, especially the newer DK weight yarns, are wonderful. Thanks for such great products!

  19. 19 Laurie

I love the Addi Lace Turbo needles!!! Sharp and slippery is the way to go. :-)

  20. 20 May

I love trekking and addi lace turbos. But I know they carry many lines of products but I don’t often see them, so I would like to see better distribution for those products.

  21. 21 valerie

i’ve heard great things about addi turbo, but i don’t any yet. however, i DO have austermann step and, initially, i was a little reluctant to use aloe-infused yarn, but i really like it and it seems to hold up well. i also hope to purchase some zauerball in the near future. i have a thing for stripey yarn.

  22. 22 cate

I like the lace tips, but I find they have a weird smell. I’d also like to see interchangeables in really small sizes, like for socks, although I know that’s not really possible.

those combo turbo/lace needles are interesting….

  23. 23 Jane

I absolutely love Addi needles. I first tried the Natura – loved the smooth join. Tried Turbos and loved the smooth feel of the needles, smooth joins and the fact that although they were metal, my arthritic thumbs didn’t respond negatively to them. I was able to increase the speed of my knitting and the length of time I could knit in any one session. Next I tried the Addi Lace. What a perfect option to use with some slippery yarns and the pointy tips are wonderful. Now I am working to replace all my bamboo DPN’s with Addi’s. Can’t say enough about how much I appreciate them!

  24. 24 Ruth

I love Addi’s lace needles also. I also like Trekking, STEP and Zauberball. Have some Fortissima, just haven’t knitted with it yet. If there was one thing I would like to see it would be a set of turbo lace needles in small sizes. Say a package where you could purchase all small sizes from 00 to 3 (doesn’t the interchangeable set start at US4?) with 16 inch or 24 inch cables — hopefully at a discount for buying them all at once.

  25. 25 Debknit

When I was a new sock knitter, I loved Trekking XXL because there was never any doubt that I would have enough yarn! Still love the Skacel sock yarns – but at least now I (usually) can figure out how much I need on my own!
I love the sharp point on the Addi lace needles. My one wish would be that they put a hole in the needle – such an easy way to stick in a lifeline!

  26. 26 Sue H

Addi LACE needles are the best for lace work!!! They really do make a difference.

  27. 27 Laura O.

I love the Addi Lace needles and the Fortissima yarns. My only wish would be the Addi clicks at a lower price ponit!

  28. 28 Shari

Thank you for offering an awesome giveaway, Fulay and Skacel!

I made the mistake of trying out the Addi-turbo needles and now I *must have more*. I really want to try the lace tips, especially since I’ve been doing a lot of, well, lace lately!

It’s such a change to go from knitting a shawl on my (we won’t mention names, but it’s a plastic interchangable circular needle set) plastic needles to knitting socks on the Addi-turbos. I no longer feel like I’m slowed down by having to “push” the yarn off of the needle, so my knitting speed has increased greatly!

Can’t wait to try the addi-clicks! Those are definitely on my wish list.

I’ve been eyeing the Zauberball yarn for a long time and even fondled some that was being knit into socks by a friend. Also on the wish list!

  29. 29 Christine

I”m crazy about Skacel’s self-patterning yarns — the Mexiko colorways in particular!

It would be great if there were similar colors available in a non-superwash, feltable version.

  30. 30 Jodee

I am currently in love with the Addi lace needles. I use them for all projects, not just for lace. I love the sharp points and smooth finish :)

  31. 31 nina

I’ve never actually tried any Addi needles so I can’t really comment on product improvements! I’ve heard a lot of great things about them though so I’d love to try them…

  32. 32 Andrea Jurgrau

Addi lace needles are my most loved needles. What a splendid collection of goodies!

  33. 33 Sarah-Hope

For me, the most important aspect of a needle is the tip: the sharper the better, which is why Addi lace needles are my favorites, whether or not I’m knitting lace. I also strongly prefer metal to wood in circulars because the yarn moves along it much more smoothly. If I knit in the round with wood needles, I have to do all kinds of fiddling to get gauge. With metal needles, I get gauge almost instantly. The one exception to this rule is Knit Picks’ harmony wood needles. For whatever reason, they stand out among wood needle for their sharpness and the smoothness of the wood—they’ve made bamboo needles seem unusable to me. I am gradually replacing my entire circular needle collection with Addis, which I still prefer to Knit Picks because I like a fixed cable.

  34. 34 Sam

I love the addi clicks, but would like to see some smaller tips w/o them being the brass lace ones. They tend to make my hands smell very metalic.

  35. 35 MishaMonet

My favourite Skacel product are the Addi Turbo needles. They are always my needles of choice for any project. I love how slippery they are. A perfect fit for me.

I’d love if Skacel put out double-pointed needles with their turbo finish. It’s hard to find that same slippiness in DPNs, and while some knitters prefer grip on their DPNs (bamboo is perfect for that), I still crave that slick, Turbo finish.

    MishaMonet on Rav

  36. 36 Carol Bristol

I would like to see a multi-color chunky to bulky weight 100% cotton yarn.

I am also a big fan of the addi lace needles!

  37. 37 Mewsette

I once had a cabled scarf that was taking forever because the yarn wasn’t sliding well on the needle I was using. So I went out and got some Addi Turbo’s and I could not believe how fast I finished the scarf and what a difference good needles make.

  38. 38 Karen Warren

I actually have never had the chance to use Addi needles, but I have used Trekking, Fortissima, STEP yarns(love them, especially the colorways). And just bought my first Zauberball to try.

  39. 39 Sally Howard

I love all the Addi needles, including the interchangables. Would love to see interchangable crochet hooks too!

  40. 40 brenda

    I love the needles.
What I’d like to see more of, is semi-solid yarns, in all weights. They show off patterns better than variegated or self striping, yet have interest and depth for the knitter, and they look rich and elegant in the finished garment.

  41. 41 meesh

I love my Turbos, but the lace needles are nice, too. I recently purchased some Zauberball, but haven’t knit with it yet. I’d like to see some more laceweight and fingering yarns in non-striping colorways, like a semi-solid or watercolor effect.

  42. 42 rena

The first and only pair of Addi needles I bought were the gold colored lace circulars. I started knitting with them and after a few months stored them with my knitting in a sealed plastic bag. (I had found a mistake 10 rows down and didn’t know how to repair without ripping back). Lately, since I have improved in my knitting, I thought to go back to this project and the yarn gets stuck on the needles (Malabrigo lace merino). The needles tarnished and became sticky. I don’t know what they plated them with, maybe brass.

  43. 43 Jennie VH

I ADORE the Addi Lace needles. I wish they were a smidge more affordable.

I’ve used Addi Turbos, but found the small size 0 circulars to have a needle part that was too short to use–apparently, I use my pinkies to manipulate the needles a lot, and only my index and middle fingers fit on the needle itself. I sold them.

I also have some lovely Skacel Lace. It’s affordable and so soft. I’d love to see that product in a kettle-dyed, not-quite-solid color line. I love variegation but am not so crazy about lots of *colors* in the lace. Thanks!!

  44. 44 Lynn Frank

I would love to buy more Adagio & the Addi turbo needles.

  45. 45 Leslie

I like the Fortissima yarns. The Addi needles are nice quality and have held up well although I would prefer a sharper tip. Haven’t tried the lace ones yet.

  46. 46 Anne Graham

I confess I’ve never used these products but they sound terrific so I’d love to try them.

  47. 47 Doti Roraback

I have been wanting to try the lace needles. Have several Audi needlse and they are wonderful. And all the the other stuff annded in whoooo hoooo. Thanks for thr chance to win. Doti

  48. 48 Lucinda

I love all the Addi needles I have tried – circulars, interchangables, and am drooling over the Addie lace interchangables. I haven’t found the Addi dpns but would love to try them.

  49. 49 Pam Plymell

I love the addi crochet hooks. They are so comfortable. Your online shop is great.

  50. 50 Punkin

Addi circular needles. I like to knit socks magic loop style and these are perfect. I would like for there to be a way to see the needle sizes easier (sometimes I forget which size I am using). maybe a color spot or ??.

  51. 51 gerald

I like the join on the Addi needles. It’s smooth and doesn’t interfere with a soft yarn. No catching is an important thing for me. I also appreciate the large cable option on my size 15/17 Addi’s. Really helpful to keep the yarn moving smoothly.
I’ve heard the surface of the Addi Lace needles rubs off. I haven’t used the lace needles. I don’t like the point.

  52. 52 Kate

I love the Addi Turbo needles, but I think my favorite is the Crazy Zauberball. Normally I’m a fanatic about making my socks come out identical, but when I’m in the mood to throw caution to the wind and just enjoy a surprising sequence of colors, I look to the Zauberball!

  53. 53 Jennifer Wernet

I love addi needles, I feel that I knit and purl faster whit my addis then I do with any of my other needles. I would really love to see more sea silk, and I would also like to add two hours to every day so I have more knitting time :)

  54. 54 Marianne

Love the Addi needles, and have yet to try Zauerball, though I lust after it. Also like Fortissima shadow. How about a sock wash with the Aloe and Jojoba that is in Step? Then our socks can stay infused with each wash!

  55. 55 moiraeknittoo

I had a very hard time trying to brainstorm any new ideas. I think a pointier tip with the regular Addi finish might be good. I personally use the Lace if I use Addi, because the tip is more pointed. And while I dig the self striping yarns, sometimes I want a bit more selection in semi-solids.

  56. 56 Sona

Really really love the sock yarn, great to use for any type of project.

And the lace needles are so wonderful to use. Were great to use when i started

  57. 57 Isela

My favorite knitting needles are Addi’s!!! My grammie was here two weeks ago from Mexico and she was so impressed by my knitting needles :) , even grandpa had to come closer to see them.

  58. 58 Pavlina Sebelova

I haven’t used any Skacel products as far as I know, but would love to!

  59. 59 darkaknits

Love Addi Turbos and Trekking yarn! Wish I could afford to buy more Addi needles, the quality is wonderful.

  60. 60 Connie

I really like the pointy lace needles – they are my favorite, and my second favorite are the bamboo. I’d like to see more pointy needle options and bamboo crochet hooks. I don’t love the finish on the lace needles though, it rubs off over time and sometimes emits a coppery smell that is not great.

  61. 61 Kim

I love the Addi Lace needles! I wish that we could get that point on more sizes!

  62. 62 JulieC

Love the Addi Turbos & Addi Naturas. Haven’t tried Addi Lace yet. Trekking sock yarn is gorgeous — I have several skeins waiting in the stash.

  63. 63 Teamama67

What a great giveaway, and what a great shop! I am so excited about all the sock yarn I bought!

  64. 64 Bronwyn

Wow! what an awesome prize! I totally didn’t know about the yarns they distributed! I love that Trekking, though I haven’t bought any, I was gifted a skein and I just love looking at the vibrant colors! I think the only thing I would want Skacel to do is make the Addi click set a teeny bit more affordable for ME! LOL I know the price is worth it, but being unemployed…blah blah blah. Addi’s are pretty much the bomb for circulars! All of them!

    thanks for the giveaway!

  65. 65 Lynette

I own many knitting needles of different brands but the Addi’s are definitely the ones I use the most. What would I like to see from Skacel? How about offering collections of the different lengths at a set price? Say, all the 32″ needles (0 – 19) for $200?

  66. 66 pmdavis1960

I enjoy the Addi Turbo needles, but often find myself wishing that the tips had a sharper point. This is the first that I’ve heard about the Addi Lace needles. I migh have to give them a try.

  67. 67 Waistfire

I love Addi needles! I wish it was easier to find artfelt. That stuff is pretty neat.

  68. 68 Stacey

I just bought my first Addi Lace Turbos. The joins are so smooth and the cables and point are wonderful. I’ve used Trekking once for a pair of socks for my husband and plan on using more in the future. I wish the Addi’s were more readily available. Thanks for the chance to win this great giveaway.

  69. 69 Mary Beth Martin

Pick my name, please! I’m a fan of all Addi needles, especially the lace models. Does Addi make a straight needle with lace points?

  70. 70 Amy

I love my Addi Lace and Natura needles! I prefer the really pointy needles and the point on the Lace is perfect! But I also love how light the Natura needles feel in my hand. I don’t crochet often, but I do have a super comfy Addi hook…very grateful that it’s offered in a non-standard size (3.00mm).

  71. 71 kozykitty

What a great surprise package! I love Addi Turbos! One can never have too many pairs!

  72. 72 Finnknitter

I love the Addi Natura circular needles. They could be just a bit pointier and I would not complain.

  73. 73 Dawn

I really need to try the Addi Lace needles… regular turbos are a bit too blunt for my taste. Great stuff, though!

  74. 74 Melissa

Love sharp points! Love the extra-long ones with 60″ cables.

  75. 75 Sarah-Hope

Also love trekking (especially the handpaints) and Zauberball. Zauberball makes the best shawls.

  76. 76 Jan Johnson

I love the Addi lace needles. The sharp tips are perfect for purl2tbl maneuvers! I also like the sock yarns. Many are machine washable which make them very practical.

    knitter4two on ravelry

  77. 77 Fay

I’ve used trekking and love the socks I knit up. I got myself a great set of lace Addis but have yet to use them. Skacel has great products.

  78. 78 janet dunivin

I love addi turbo needles. I am gradually acquiring more and more of them. :-)

  79. 79 Mary Campbell

I love the Addi stitch holders. Don’t know what I ever did without them.

  80. 80 betty

I love my only Addi circular #1 needles. I always wind up going to them or any number of projects. They are the smoothest join of any I have.

  81. 81 Linda Rice

I love the great quality of all the Addi products I’ve used, needles and yarns. My ‘want’ would be the pointier tips of the Addi Lace needles in the Addi Turbo material as I can’t use the brass. Thanks for this great giveaway!

  82. 82 Alice Perry

I want to try artfelt! I read the description and am sooo intrigued I want to try it now.

I love my Addi’s, love the yarn, and the Filigran Hand Dyed and Trekking Hand Art colors are phenominal — and the Flying Saucer concept is pretty neat, also.

    Ravelry id is alphamperry

  83. 83 sunnie

I find my Addi Lace Turbos are comfortable and easy to knit with. The cables are very flexible and my stitches do flow comfortably around the circular.
When it comes to yarn, colors in Zauberball are awesome! I can’t wait to knit with my crazy sock ball, and I keep eye-balling a crazy lace ball.

  84. 84 Lucy- 6toknit4

I love my Addi clics….the flexibility it offers me for knitting several different projects at once is fabulous. How about stoppers for the cables when I need to remove the tips temporarily? They may exist???
Also, The musical sound they make as I’m knitting along…you can’t beat that!

  85. 85 Mary Wheat

I have wanted to try the Addi lace needles for awhile. I really enjoy the Addis I already have. Also, I’m intrigued by the Artfelt process.

  86. 86 emmy

I love the Addi CLICK Interchangeable needles. I am looking forward to the lace interchangeable because I like a good sharp point. I would like to see more cables sold separately as I seem to end up with them on lots of projects. I wish LK sold the currently available cable and connector sets- hint hint.

I am glad that you reminded me of the Zauberball yarn as I am wanting to give that a try.

  87. 87 Glyn

I love Addi needles, would love to see the Clics! I like the Trekking Hand Art colors, too, and would love to see more hand-dyed (or similar) yarns and colors!

  88. 88 Lauren

I am a big fan of using the addi lace needles for everything (mostly sweaters) – and hope they will someday sell them as interchangables with the sizes sold separately as I never need the bigger sizes in interchangable sets but always want the smaller needles (down to 2.0mm please!)!

  89. 89 Carolyn

I love Addi lace needles and am now replacing my Addi Turbos with Addi lace. What I have noticed is that the Addi circular needles are consistently a smidge larger than all of my straight needles of different brands.

  90. 90 edina

I love my Addi Turbo needles – they are very well-made and a joy to use!

  91. 91 Jane

I love the addi turbo, and the lace ones when needed. That’s about all I use. Would love to get the clicks but have some many singles already, is hard to justify. Have had good luck with the warranty from my LYS.

  92. 92 Diana

I too love Addi needles, turbo and lace. I like that they come in very large and very very small sizes, which is not as common with other needle makers, but mostly, I like how smooth and slick the needles, cables, and joins are. I thought the tips were indestructible until my cat left a bite mark in one :(

I love my Addi Clicks but I wish they weren’t so expensive (though worth it). I also would have liked to see bigger and smaller needle sizes and more cables. If additional cables are not available for purchase, could you make that an option? I’ve used several interchangeable kits and the Clicks are the best as far as the simplest, most secure join.

  93. 93 cori gilkey

Addi lace are my favorite. They are sharp and slick:) I started to replace all my needles with them.

  94. 94 olya

I use Addi circular needles all the time. Love them, but would enjoy them even more if the tips were more pointy. I also have a couple of crochet hooks which I use sometimes. They feel comfortable and the handle is sized perfectly, but unfortunately cracked lengthwise after very little use. I was going to buy Addi hooks in more sizes but had to stop after the first 2.

  95. 95 Bich-Thu

I have a set of Addi Click and have a Lace set on the way. I think Addi is the best on the market right now.
I love knitting with Natura also. So I would like to see it in a kit like Click. If the tip could be a little more pointy, it would be really great. I like use Natural for slippery yarn but sometimes the tip is not sharp enough , especially for lace stitches.

  96. 96 Patty

Addi turbos are the best! Their tips do not make my fingers sore. The lace needles are great for lace. How about more of the smaller sizes that are not usually available in the US? Like 3mm and so on. Why can’t the lace needles have the same coating as the Turbos? I love Trekking for socks.

  97. 97 Jen

I’ve never used Addi needles, but I love the feel of Trekking and STEP yarn. I’d love to try some of the Trekking Hand Art colors at some point.

  98. 98 Pat

Love the goodies. Have Addi’s for my socks. Have used Fortissima.

But, really really want that t-shirt

  99. 99 Terri

Love the stuff. I have recently discovered sock knitting and that yarn is perfect!

  100. 100 Susan

Love my Addi Turbos! Such excellent quality.

  101. 101 SonomaKnits

I have a good assortment of Addi Turbos and a couple of Addi Lace circs and I’d love to buy a set of Lace clicks. I’m looking forward to getting a set. I hope they will be as great as I think they will be. I prefer a sharp point …. can’t wait. I’d love to be the winner of the Skacel goodies.

  102. 102 Nancy

I have both Addi Turbos and Addi lace needles. They have the best cables and joins. Love the color of the Fortissima!

  103. 103 Lisa

I love Addi Lace needles, especially the flexible cord and join. I really like Zauberball yarns too. :)

  104. 104 Barb

I would love to see a worsted version of Zauberball. It could really give Noro a run for its money!

  105. 105 Jane

The Addi Turbos – I like how slippery and lightweight they are, I really think you can kit faster with them. And it’s not original, but I would like a sharper point to be an option. I don’t like the lace needles for a lot of the yarn I use, even though the points are sharper.

  106. 106 Debora

I have to say I have never used Addi Needles, but I sure am curious to try them! Everyone they are the best and help you knit quicker! I sure can use some help in that department!

  107. 107 Jessica

I am saving up for an addi lace set. I love the self patterning yarn and made a pair of nice socks for my sister in it–I have more to make for myself.

  108. 108 sharryn papinchak

Love addi needles – am planning on trying addi lace next.

  109. 109 Diane

I love the pointy tips of the Addi lace needles. I wish the larger sizes had tips this sharp.
