Mirasol Hap’i (now on sale at Little Knits!), is made from Peruvian Tanguis cotton, which is reputed to be one of the finest fibers in the world. Hap’i comes in 100 gram hanks of 132 yards each. Gauge is 4.5 stitches to the inch on US size 8 (5mm) needles. Mirasol yarns are special because they support local communities in Peru. A portion of every purchase of Mirasol yarns goes directly to the funding of a centre in the remote area of Munani in the region of Puno, supporting shepherds and their families continuing Peru’s rich and ancient textile traditions.
This yarn seems like it would be perfect for baby or child sweaters, as garments made with it are said to “breathe”. Hap’i is the suggested yarn for Harvey, which I would totally knit in Spring Green for my little guy!

Hap’i would also be perfect for knitting the Confection Baby Shrug, which I think would be really fun for Spring (it’s not too early to think about Spring knitting, right?) in this bright yellow!

If you’re looking for a non baby project, Ripley would look adorable in Hap’i, maybe in this turquoise!

Whatever you use it for, you can’t beat the price right now, 65-72% off!
