This actually sounds like a perfect yarn for colorwork and, more specifically, steeking. I like it when yarn is grippy and I don’t have to worry about everything unraveling.
Of course, I’ve never steeked before, but I’m about to… eep! And the yarn is a bit slippery.

I’m pretty sure the bamboo is a REALLY light version of Stonechat. Maybe bamboo doesn’t take the dyes on as bright as animal fibers..?
